We are Robert E & Susanne K (Ranauro) Pendarvis. We are in our 50’s and living full time in our RV. We have lived in CA, NJ, and CO prior to this. Our kids are in their late 20’s, living in MI and CA currently. We talked about this a long time ago, that when the time comes and the kids were out of the house, there would be no more house for them to come home to. And once they settled down with their own lives and had their own homes, they should be sure to have a driveway long enough and hook ups for us to come visit them when we wanted. Likewise we can leave when we wanted. So we have taken the leap.
Most full timers fall into one of 2 categories. First they are either retired with pension, 401k, or social security. We are too young for that. The other group of full timers are people that work jobs where they want to live for a few months, often trading their time for their space rent while there. We happen to be neither right now. See I, Sue, am still working, a few part time jobs, as a contractor doing bookkeeping. Most of the work is online and I can do it wherever we are so long as I have internet. Rob however, has a weak and sick heart. His electrical system is not working as well as it should and consequently he has a Defibrillator / Pacemaker in his chest. His condition is such that his cardiologist has placed him on full disability and we have applied for Social Security Disability.
For now it seems we have places to be at a particular time. While we have a destination in mind each time we hit the road, we make some stops along the way to see friends and family. So keep reading of the adventures of where we are, what we have seen, and headed to next. We truly hope to visit ALL of the people we know and love along the way.
Sue,
Looks like fun. I enjoyed traveling when we had our motorhome. Problem was it was only for a week or two at a time. Always had to hurry back to work.
My first time on anyone’s blog or anything like it. I’m old and don’t do Twitter, Facebook, or other things. Still busy with my R.E. My Grandkids are getting older and we have one Great Grandson – 9 months old. What fun he is!
Enjoy!!!!!
