Indiana & Family – July & some August 2015

We arrive in Bluffton IN, at a KOA that was pretty nice. This was south of Ft Wayne where we were suppose to be. Seems that the campground in town wasn’t prepared for us and when they called 2 days before our scheduled arrival, Bud decided he wasn’t staying there. That’s why we diverted to Bluffton. Have to say it is a nice area, just not as close to the brother in south side of town, but not as far as Angola. Again there was rain and mud, but not too much. All in all a pleasant week. We even visited our niece Cassie and her bf Eric with their combined 5 kids and 2 large dogs! Whew that was a tiring dinner by the time we left.

We eventually drove north to the Circle B in Angola, north of Ft Wayne and where the older bro Doug & Leann keep their trailer parked all year. Shortly after arriving, we went to help Chris move into his new & first home with his fiance Kirsten. Not too much stuff of their own, but some furniture of his folks. Seems D&L were downsizing and so they split up the households. Little bit later we all help the next move into said smaller home – called a “Villaminium”. Never  heard of such a thing, but learned it’s a ranch house that you don’t have to maintain the yard. This was done for Leann since she was tired of being the one to do yardwork and since Doug took a job in NC 3 weeks of the month, he wasn’t exactly going to be doing any anytime soon!  Back at camp there was always some tinkering to do, whether on our rigs or someone else’s – say golf cart lights. Kathy went to go riding one night and the lights went out. The boys diagnosed the problem, got the part, and then couldn’t get it working. Try as they may, even Mike stuck his head into the mix.20150730_110514 Eventually Gerry found a loose connection and got the lights working again.

One of the weekends after all the moving, Mike & Tammy came to the campground with a tent and one grandson Ford. Either he was bored or tired from not getting enough sleep! 20150730_110449Then Cassie & Eric, along with the 5 kids and a NEW 9 week old puppy a day later. Boy that weekend was fun. Rob learned a new way to cook – it’s called a Volcano. Volcano 2Volacano 1   20150801_140516

We put a whole chicken in with a can of soda inserted up it’s butt. Then a bunch of leg thigh quarters.  It was soooo good, nothing was left after this crew finished eating. There were a few rounds of crocket played – even after years without touching a mallet, Bud did really good!20150730_170651

On Sunday Jamie, Tammy’s other daughter came up along with her other 2 kids, one wife and toddler!20150801_183843

They ALL went back to their respective homes on sunday afternoon – PEACE ensued.

Rob & Buddy went and built custom shelves in both new home garages. This is the 4th garage for D&L, and first for Chris.

While at Circle B, Sadie learned to run along side the golf carts, 20150728_181002much like she runs along side me on the bicycle. We determined that while Bud’s electric cart works, she prefers D&L’s gas one as it can go faster. Often during the week I took her for a run while the camp was less crowded. And if you just got on the cart with her, she barked.DSC00596 We also played frisbee often and she is VERY good at it.  Logan often got into the fun, decided to join Rob one day on the hill. 20150728_194751 To say he is heavy is an understatement. Rob still let him be for a few minutes.20150728_194630.
